  • The WEB Picnic Will Be On Tuesday, May 19th. The Lead For Change Spirit Rally Will Be Held That Afternoon In The NMS Gym. The 8th Grade Academic Sports Banquet Will Be Held At Ciminero’s In Niles That Evening Starting At 6:00 p.m.
  • NMS Locker Clean Outs Will Be On Tuesday, May 19th. The Last Day Of School Will Be On Wednesday, May 20th. We Will Have GREAT JOBS Prizes That Day And The Student Council Will Host An 8th Grade Breakfast In The Cafetorium That Morning.
  • NMS Will Host Summer School For Students Who Need Intervention To Be Assigned To The Next Grade Level On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, And Thursdays From May 26th-June 11th.

Baby Turtle At NMS
On a sunny day, Alexzander Duncan found a “painted” turtle when the eighth grade went outside for their class picture. How he knew that this was a painted turtle and not a snapping turtle is because of their size, shell, tail, diet, and behavior. Painted turtles are regularly smaller than a snapping turtle. It looks small in this picture but in a couple of years it will grow to be between 4-10 inches.
