Everyone here knows just how special Mrs. Falleti is to our staff and students. With her cheerful hellos and positive attitude, no one would even guess she is battling a disease called Cystic Fibrosis. She is such a advocate for more research for this disease, and if you know Mrs. Falleti, she doesn’t do this just for herself. She wants to help everyone who suffers from this and to know that help is on way.
Mrs. Falleti brought all grades into the gym to thank everyone for participation in her cause. And she couldn’t find a more perfect day–sunny and over 80*. It was hot, but we loved it and we loved supporting her. She told us that she she sponsors a walk in Boardman and they raised over $35,000. She then proceeded to tell us how this disease affects her. She was diagnosed when she was juts a baby; her parents knew something was wrong with her breathing. At that time, the average life expectancy was kindergarten. We can’t imagine how that news took a toll on her family.
Fast forward to 2026! Mrs. Falleti just turned 50! YAY!!!!! The average expectancy is now 65, but she got this! She takes over 30 pills a day and does three breathing treatments a day as well. We are sure she has good days and bad days, but you would never know. If you look at her, she looks like the epitome of health and fitness; ready to take on the world in her HOKAS!
We are so lucky to have you as a positive role model, Mrs. Falleti.
Don’t’ give 65 another thought…you are going to live to be 100 and you’ll still be walking for such a wonderful cause. You’ll be around to see a cure for sure!
