Mrs. Muccio was speaking to Bailee Hayes and heard that she fostered kittens! Journalism thought it would be a marvelous idea to do a story on her. We asked her some questions and here are some of her answers.
Q: How was your love of animals developed? –
A: My love for animals was developed through the fact that I grew up with animals such as Dogs, Cats, and Gui Pigs
Q. What is it that you do exactly? –
A. I foster animals with AWL (Animal Welfare League). Most times I’m fostering kittens because, I don’t have enough room to foster dogs.
Q. How many animals are you fostering currently? –
A. Zero
Q. What was your first time fostering like? –
A. My first time fostering I was always nervous that I did something wrong or I wouldn’t be completely confident in my decisions.
Q. Do you have a favorite animal if so what is it? –
A. My favorite animal is a Horse.
Q. What is your favorite animal to take care of? –
A. My favorite animal to take care of are kittens because they are kinda like little balls of fur.
Q. What is your favorite part of working with animals? –
A. I think my favorite part of working with animals is that I get to watch them grow both physical and mentally.
Q. What is your least favorite part of working with animals? –
A. I think my least favorite part would be giving the animals back when their fostering time is up.
Q. What do you think people could do to help animals? –
A. I think people could help by getting involved with animals like shelters. Most times shelters are looking for help.
Q. What is one thing you have seen that animals have been struggling with –
A. One thing I’ve seen animals that have been struggling with is over population and abandonment.
Q. What do you hope to achieve by being an activist and do you hope to bring these skills into adulthood? –
A. One thing I hope to achieve is to help get more animals off the street. Yes, I would love to take this into adulthood simply because it takes time for improvement and I would love to improve with skills.
