On March 12, a group of kids in the eighth grade class visited TCTC. They got to explore some of the different career programs they offer for high school students. At TCTC, students advance their academics, receive college credit, experience hands-on learning opportunities, participate in work-based learning, and earn awards or scholarships. TCTC offers twenty-seven school programs but the programs these students visited were App and Web Development, Cosmetology, Equestrian Studies, Power Equipment Mechanics, Landscape Architecture, and Engineering Technology. This visit helps students understand how TCTC lets high school students explore different careers while still doing their regular classes. It also helps many students think about what they might want to study in the future. You can view programs by career field here (click on this link).
We appreciate Mrs. Muccio, Mr. Frech, Mrs. Woloschak, and Mrs. Dilla for showing these kids that there is life outside of NMS.
