I am thankful for my mom and dad along with the doctors at Akron Children’s Hospital because without my mom reaching out for help and telling the doctors I couldn’t swallow food. The doctors ended up figuring out I had a pit in my stomach, and they saved my life. – Aniello Rose

I am thankful for my friends, my family and my immigrant friends. I can create special memories and bonds that I cherish with them. I am so grateful for the immigrants I know because they all work hard for a minimum wage and are still so kind to others around them even when getting mistreated. They also share some of their culture and customs which is fun to learn. – Midori Campbell

I am forever and always thankful for my mom: the one that gave me life: the one who taught me right from wrong: the one who never gave up on me:  the one who never walked out on me. I am so very thankful for my grandpa. I know he has passed, but I’m just so thankful for him because he was always there for me when I was down. He was in the army. Fortunately he was in no wars and served at a time of peace! I’m also thankful for the staff at the hospital that kept him alive as long as possible. I am thankful for my mom. She is there for me no matter what and she will go to any extent to make me feel happy or seen. My relationship with her is like no other and I am so very thank for have her present in my life – Trinity Brom

I am thankful for many things, but the one thing I am thankful for the most is my family. I appreciate how they always make sure I am feeling my best and have everything I need. They help me feel supported no matter what. Having a family that cares truly means the world to me, and I am thankful for the strong bond we always shared. – Honor Duby

I am thankful for my best friend, Mackenzie and her family because they have always treated me with respect and they include me in every family event they have. They are a safe space and like a second family to me. I’ve been on trips such as some of their family trips to Sandusky.  Ultimately if I ever need somewhere to go or even if I need to feel safe they are always there for me. I am thankful for my dad introducing me into the game of bocce. I am thankful for this because he has got me into something that takes up most of my weeks and I have met so many new people; who treat me kindly. I also see this as being a hobby and possibly a career for the rest of my life. – Parker Robertson

I am most thankful for music. I have many blessing to be thankful for, but deep down it’s always music. When I listen to music it feels like what I can’t say but think is being explained and I never feel misunderstood. Music makes me realize that there is. Others that feel like I do even if I can’t always put it into words. For me Lil Peep is my favorite artist, he always makes me feel understood and that I’m not truly alone. I have  never been good at expressing my feelings and I love listening to these artists who don’t put on a front and are always truly and unapologetic-ally themselves. So, for this I thank music; and I am most thankful for it. –Remi Smith

This year, I am probably the most thankful for my best friend. In all the movies where the protagonist moves schools, her relationships die out. When I moved, I was so afraid of losing her, but she stayed, and we may even be closer now. I could write an entire book of how much she means to me, but for now, I will just say that I am thankful for her. – Maddie Wason

I am thankful for army medics. I have a lot of family members who were in the army, and without the medics some of them might not be here. Army medics risk their lives to save others at war, they are very brave. – Haidyn Allen

I am thankful for my loving family, friends, and my school. They have all done so much for me and my needs. I have gone through some tough times but they have helped me through them.
