We live in Niles, Ohio-a city. But did you know that one of our very own, Ethan Rowley, lives on a farm? Ethan’s dad and the Amish are building their house and it will be done sometime in May of 2026. They are also building a 15 car garage; so since Ethan loves basketball, they are building a half basketball court inside! The garage is actually bigger than their house if you can believe that! They eventually plan on housing a lot of those giant tractors used to farm the land. Ethan’s dad not only farms live animals but they also have so much land that they plant corn and soybeans. His dad does not just farm for their farm, he farms for other people too. His dad is also a Niles McKinley graduate.

Every farm has animals. So, what kind of animals does he have? He has 6 cows and 20 chickens. And they feed them grain and hay. Ethan has cows and chickens just for fun. They do not use the cows for meat or dairy. Ethan’s job on the farm is to feed the animals after school. He also takes all the scraps from the builders and burns them. This does not take over his life though; he can still hang out with his friends and is able to play sports. Ethan loves to ride his four wheeler on all their land as well. Who would have guessed that someone from our school lives on such a beautiful and big landscape! Yes, Ethan Rowley does a lot on his farm to take care of his animals and it is pretty cool to know that someone from our school is somewhat of an actual “farmer!” Way to go Ethan!
