What do you like about playing football?: I like that I get to be a part of a team sport that I think is entertaining. My dad was always telling me stories that he started for YSU and I hope to do the same when I get older.

What’s it like playing in eighth grade as a seventh grader?: While playing, I feel excited because I get to go against players that have played before. I feel that the coaches see my ability and it helps me push myself to do my best. However, I also get nervous because of the thought of getting injured and never playing again.

Do you wish you played seventh grade with your friends?: I am glad to play eighth grade but I miss playing with my seventh grade friends. At least I am captain for seventh grade and I get to be there for my friends.

How did it make you feel when you found out you were playing eighth grade?: It made me feel very proud of myself and I can’t believe that my first year playing tackle football, I get to play a higher level than I thought.
