  • NMS Choir Concert will take place on Tuesday, May 13th at the NMS cafetorium. Sixth Grade will perform at 6:00 p.m. The Seventh and Eighth Grade will perform at 7:30 p.m.
  • The NMS Band Convert will be held in NMS gymnasium on Monday, May 12th. Sixth Grade performs at 6:00 p.m. The Seventh and Eighth Grade performs at 7:30 p.m.
  • The D.C. Trip meeting will be Tuesday, April 29th in the NMS cafetorium at 6:00 p.m.
  • Eighth Grade Algebra 1 State Testing will be on Monday, May 5th and Tuesday, May 6th.
  • Eighth Grade Math State Testing will be on Thursday, May 1st and Friday, May 2nd.
  • Yearbooks will be passed out on May 16th, Friday.
  • The last day of school is May 21st, Wednesday!
  • Eighth Grade Sports Banquet will be at Ciminero's Banquet Center on Tuesday, May 20th at 6:00 p.m.!
  • The Washington D.C. Trip is May 8th-10th!
  • The last day before Easter Break is Thursday, April 17th. Students come back on Monday, April 28th!

A True Hero

Today, May 15th, Niles Middle School’s eighth graders got to meet the Vietnam veteran, private first-class,  Kenneth David.  He was born and raised in Girard, Ohio, and was drafted to fight in the Vietnam War in August of 1969. David received the highest attainable badge in the military, the Congressional Badge of Honor, for his brave work in the Vietnam war. It was truly an honor to be able to meet a true war veteran and a true war hero. We are all so thankful for your courage and sacrifice. To learn more about him, click on the following link.
