During the seventh period, Jenna’Lise Coakley came into Mrs. Ciminero’s class with a great idea. She wanted to write something special to everyone who has helped her throughout her school year and post it on our website so everyone could see. Mrs. Ciminero thought that it would be a great idea and she let Jenna’Lise do her thing. So, Jenna’Lise took the time to write a huge thank you to everyone who helped her, and here is what she wrote!
Hi, I’m Jenna’Lise Nicole and recently I’ve been on a journey on letting people go who don’t help me in any way. With this I’ve lost and gained people, but I want to make a note of some people who helped me during this journey. I want to take this time to thank these people that have changed my experience at NMS and made a positive impact on me. Such as, Mrs. Ciminero, Mrs. Muccio, Kaelee, Liv, Aliyah, and the Journalism group as a whole.
Starting with Mrs. Ciminero, I can’t put into words how grateful and appreciative I am for her. She isn’t one of my teachers, but she sure does treat me like I’m one of her kids. She tells me what I need to hear, and just one conversation with her makes my day twice as better. No amount of money or time can compare to how she makes me feel.
Next is Mrs. Muccio, the bond we have is incredible. If you know me, you know I struggle with communicating. With her as a teacher and as a safe person, she has helped me along the way. She treats me as one of her students. ( well actually I am one of her students LOL) Mrs. Muccio and I have a love-dislike relationship, but no matter how much bickering we do, I can’t stay mad at her. I just know that she wants me to do good.
Then there is one of my favorite friends, Kaelee Houseman. Kaelee and I have recently been getting closer, but she’s always been someone who I can count on throughout this year. With everything going on with me losing friends, having some family issues, and with finding myself, she has been one of the few and only people by my side. There is no bond anyone could replace. I truly love Kaelee, and I think everyone should know Kaelee.
Up next, we have Livy. Liv and I aren’t close, but every conversation we have it always feels like we’ve known each other for ten years. Liv and I can talk for hours straight. She’s been someone throughout the year who has helped me get out of my comfort zone and make me feel more confident. I am who I am now because of her.
Now, we have Aliyah.I knew Aliyah from mutual friends and social media before NMS. I never expected us to be friends, but I have no regrets. She let me come to her table when mine was having issues, and she gave me confidence when I tried new things. She always has open arms when it comes to anything.
Lastly, we have the journalism group. (McKenna, Liv, Kaelee, Morgan, Aliyah, Nick, Reid, Jess, Elly, and Kenzi.) I may not be a part of journalism, but anything they do, I somehow become a part of. They are all so welcoming and they truly are a kind hearted group. It’s all such an amazing bond everyone has. They all listen to my yap sessions, no matter how dumb, boring or long they are. They’re also hard working and great at what they do. They are all such great role models and such a determined group. No matter where they are, they have such great school spirit.
