WOW! That is all you can say when you see seventh grade students planning to make Niles extra safe. Mrs. Breegle had Urban Planters from Columbus come in to teach her third period class about the safety of our own city. If you don’t know: an Urban Planter is someone who designs cities, plants greenery such as trees, and just overall helps the cities look beautiful. The presenters mentioned a bunch of things but the one that is the most concerning is how congested it is at the high school.

They put their foot on the gas and said “Let’s plan!” With the help of the Urban Planters the students made plans to save room for pedestrians, and bikers. You never know, maybe now that these students have seen what it’s like to be an Urban Planter they might pursue urban planting.  HUGE shout out to Mrs. Breegle who wanted to show her students something new.
