Hello and welcome to Fish Fact Friday. If you’re new, I’m Fishman, aka Nicolas Logan, and if you didn’t know, I AM OBSESSED WITH FISH! This week’s fish is the Gulper Eel. The Gulper Eel, aka the Pelican Eel, is a deep sea eel that lives at a depth of 500 to 3000 meters. They use their large maw to lunge at and consume mostly small crustaceans. They are known to grow to about two and a half feet, and their conservation status is LC (least concern).
