Each year, Mrs. DiMaiolo gives a very important assembly to the whole school based off of the topic on school shootings. It’s a reminder that you shouldn’t take your safety for granted. It is very important for students to be educated on this topic. Yes, it’s scary but a really needed assembly. Mrs. DiMaiolo has gotten recognition for her assemblies from police officers as well other school systems where she was invited to present.

We here at NMS can thank Mrs. DiMaiolo for educating us on how to be safe, smart, and resilient in the face of a possible school shooter. We pray nothing like this will ever happen, but thank you for preparing us and teaching us to NOT be a Sitting Duck.
