Hello and welcome to Fish Fact Friday. If you’re new, I’m Fishman aka Nicolas Logan and if you didn’t know I AM OBSESSED WITH FISH! This week’s fish is the Flying Fish and; although its name suggests it does not actually fly. Instead it skims on the ocean’s surface to gain speed like an airplane taking off then starts gliding. They mainly glide to get away from predators like Swordfish and Tuna. Being 64 species of Flying Fish, they live in different areas but most live in tropical and subtropical ocean waters.
